A 4 storey Aberdovey/Aberdyfi seafront Victorian townhouse, just a stone's throw away from the sea with lovely sea views and a light and airy feel. The property is close to the local amenities and Aberdovey's / Aberdyfi's sandy beach. Bodfor House offers pet-friendly holiday accommodation with fantastic views.

Conveniently situated close to the shops, pubs, restaurants and all amenities, Bodfor House is only minutes away from the beach, jetty (for your crabbing and fishing), water sports, beautiful mountain and hill walks, the property is also located on the Welsh Coastal Path.

Bodfor House is ideally placed for Aberdovey's / Aberdyfi's local attractions with good hill walking at your front door, a four-mile sandy beach, a championship links Aberdovey Golf Club as well as great places to eat and drink.

Further afield you can explore the Ynys-Hir RSPB Reserve which is a wildlife haven in the heart of Wales, made famous by the BBC Spring Watch programme, The Dyfi Osprey Project (please follow the link to watch live: http://www.dyfiospreyproject.com/live-streaming), The Ceredigion Heritage Coast along Cardigan Bay, the Cambrian Mountains and not forgetting the lakes, small towns and villages, picturesque resorts and harbours.

Sleeps 8 / 10 guests in 1 double bedroom, 1 double bedroom with an extra single bed, 1 twin bedroom and 1 single bedroom, all of which are ensuite. Newly refurbished annexe twin bedroom with ensuite is available additional flat fee of £140.

Entrance - Front entrance to open plan lounge/dining area with wooden flooring and a separate kitchen.

Living & Dining Room - one large leather settee, two-seater settee and easy chair with footstool. Open stone fireplace with lighting for those cosy nights in! LCD Freeview TV, Bluetooth speaker x 2 and WiFi, Large dining table with seating for eight people.

Stairs down to a newly refurbished annexe twin bedroom with ensuite - a sitting/living area with 2 comfy sofas, a twin room with 2 single beds (3ft) and an ensuite, a large TV and PS4 perfect for teenagers or children of any age. There is also plenty of space for coats, wellies and beach gear. There is an additional flat fee of £140 for this annexe per booking which can be added to your holiday when completing our online booking form.

Kitchen - Fully fitted kitchen with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster, kettle, Krups coffee machine (no capsules supplied) and iron. Large pine larder with all your dining crockery.

Aberdyfi / Aberdovey

The picturesque harbour village of Aberdyfi / Aberdovey is renowned for its mild climate, sandy beaches, sailing and a championship 18-hole links golf course (rated in the UK's top 100). The village is often referred to as “an artist's paradise” with its pastel-coloured cottages, small shops, inns and excellent restaurants which specialise in local seafood, all helping to create a relaxed welcoming atmosphere.

Aberdyfi / Aberdovey boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain, with four miles of golden sand-dune backed shoreline running north to Tywyn, home of the world-famous Talyllyn narrow gauge Steam Railway, crab fishing and the famous Dyfi Donkeys. The beaches are popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen while the estuary attracts a wide range of water sports enthusiasts.

The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy ranges are within easy reach and are complemented by the charm of the Dyfi, Dysynni and Tal y Llyn valleys nearby. An ideal area for walkers, climbers and wildlife watchers, and a wonderful all-year-round location.

Information about your holiday rental

Booking and Payment

Dyfi Cottages & Aberdyfi Holidays is a marketing agency and we do not own or manage any of the accommodation listed on our websites. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement between you and the property owner.

For bookings made more than 8 weeks before arrival, a 30% deposit of the total cost of the holiday plus the £24 non-refundable booking fee is required at the time of booking. The balance is then due 8 weeks before the holiday commences.

For bookings made less than 8 weeks before arrival, the total amount is payable plus the £24 non-refundable booking fee at the time of booking.

Arrival & Departure times

Arrival time is from 4 pm/ Departure time is no later than 10 am.

Short Breaks

Short breaks are available out of season for a minimum of 3 nights and can be booked from the following days:

  • Friday to Monday for a 3-night weekend break
  • Monday to Friday for a 4-night midweek break

During November to February arrival days may be more flexible nearer the time although these exclude Sundays and any holidays.

Bed Linen & Towels

Bed linen and towels are provided. 

Heating & Electric

Heating and electric are included in the accommodation price.

Infant facilities

Sorry, there are no infant facilities or stair gate available.

Pets

Maximum of one well-behaved dog welcome at an additional cost of £25 (to be kept downstairs).

Wi-Fi 

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. The owner cannot guarantee the availability or speed of the service as this is dependent on third party suppliers.

Parking 

Two free car passes are provided in the property for the ‘pay & display’ car parks in Aberdyfi, the nearest one is directly opposite the house (spaces are subject to availability). Sorry, but the owners are unable to provide additional car passes.

Access, Health and Safety

The main road outside Bodfor House can get quite busy, please be mindful of cars appearing suddenly and be especially cautious when children are exiting the property.  

Please contact us immediately if there are any specific needs you may have, including disability needs. It is essential that we are given as much information as possible about your requirements to avoid booking an unsuitable property. Some locations do not lend themselves to easy access and facilities, so please ask first to avoid disappointment.

The choice is ultimately the responsibility of the person booking the property, and we cannot be held responsible should a property be booked that is unsuitable or inappropriate.

Location 

The property is located in the centre of the village and there can be some associated noise during busier times.

In order to provide you with as much detail of the properties as possible, we sometimes use wide-angle photography, which can make certain rooms or spaces appear larger than they actually are. If you have any queries regarding the size of any rooms, please do not hesitate to contact us.

The house is beautiful! The decor is very stylish and the kitchen has everything you would need. the views are stunning and it's ideal for walking, a short step to the beach or to any of the delicious restaurants in town. I stayed with a group of friends but I can't wait to go back and stay with my family, I know they'll adore it too! I would wholeheartedly recommend this stunning house - definitely one of the nicest holiday homes I've ever stayed in.

We had a very happy stay in Sarah and Andrew's holiday home. It was a wonderful space for a family gathering. The house was beautifully decorated and the beds were so comfortable! We loved walking on the beach or taking a picnic up on the hills. It's a perfect location for exploring. Thank you for having us, we will definitely return. 

We had the most brilliant stay. The house provided a really lovely base for our walking holiday with plenty of bathrooms and comfortable beds. We had the top bedroom which provides stunning views over the estuary. The kitchen is brilliantly equipped and it really is a home from home. We couldn't have found a better place for our holiday.
