Situated in the picturesque village of Aberdyfi within Snowdonia National Park this house is comfortable and well equipped, with a south-facing patio. Only a few minutes’ walk away is the local shops, pubs, restaurants and sandy beach. The owners have taken great care and attention in the design and renovation of this luxurious property. The downstairs of the cottage has been specifically designed for easy access, with all the facilities on one level. The open plan living room and kitchen through to the downstairs double bedroom and shower room have wide access, with an additional ramp available to the outside terrace which is wheelchair friendly.

This converted Victorian house with a private terrace directly overlooking the Dyfi Estuary is in an ideal location for the local area’s attractions – bird watching (red kites can be seen nearby, and there is an RSPB nature reserve at nearby Ynis Hir); fabulous walking for the enthusiast or just a stroll, the Centre for Alternative Technology at Machynlleth; the award-winning Talyllyn narrow-gauge railway, castles at Criccieth, Caernarfon and Harlech, a four-mile sandy beach and Aberdyfi championship links golf course in Aberdovey / Aberdyfi itself, river and sea fishing and much more besides.

Entrance- Double doors lead into a covered seated sunroom (there is one step from the courtyard which can be converted into a ramp). Small cloakroom which holds the washer/dryer.

Double doors lead into the open plan living/dining room and kitchen, with separate downstairs double bedroom & en-suite shower room and WC (wide access throughout).

Living / Dining Room - a spacious and airy luxurious living room with stunning views, a comfortable large two and three-seater settee, two easy chairs, a large (mirrored) LCD TV with Freeview and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth stereo system and log effect gas fire.

Dining Room - Dining table with seating for six people.

Kitchen - Fully fitted kitchen with wine cooler, dishwasher, three drawer freezer, fridge, electric oven with grill and induction hob, microwave, a magimix coffee machine with Nespresso capsules.

Bedroom 1 – Stylish ground floor double bedroom en-suite with double bed, wall-mounted mirrored smart TV, built-in vanity unit with hanging space and shelves, bedside tables.

En-suite – Wetroom with WC and sink, mirrored wall mounted cabinet, overhead shower with a separate handheld shower and handrails.

Two steps to the rear and front bedrooms

The picturesque harbour village of Aberdyfi / Aberdovey is renowned for its mild climate, sandy beaches, sailing and a championship 18-hole links golf course (rated in the UK's top 100). The village is often referred to as “an artist's paradise” with its pastel-coloured cottages, small shops, inns and excellent restaurants which specialise in local seafood, all helping to create a relaxed welcoming atmosphere.

Aberdyfi / Aberdovey boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain, with four miles of golden sand-dune backed shoreline running north to Tywyn, home of the world-famous Talyllyn narrow gauge Steam Railway, crab fishing and the famous Dyfi Donkeys. The beaches are popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen while the estuary attracts a wide range of water sports enthusiasts.

The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy ranges are within easy reach and are complemented by the charm of the Dyfi, Dysynni and Tal y Llyn valleys nearby. An ideal area for walkers, climbers and wildlife watchers, and a wonderful all-year-round location.

Information about your holiday accommodation

Booking and Payment 

Dyfi Cottages & Aberdyfi Holidays is a marketing agency and we do not own or manage any of the accommodation listed on our websites. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement between you and the property owner.

For bookings made more than eight weeks before arrival, a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance is then due eight weeks before the holiday commences.

For bookings made less than eight weeks before arrival, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

Security Deposit

Security deposits are not required. Please note that guests are still liable for any damage, breakages, or additional cleaning required as a result of their actions.

Arrival & Departure times

Arrival time is from 4 pm/ Departure time is no later than 10 am.

Short Breaks

Short breaks are available out of season for a minimum of 3 nights and can be booked from the following days:

  • Friday to Monday for a 3-night weekend break
  • Monday to Friday for a 4-night midweek break

Bed Linen & Towels

Bed linen & towels are provided.

Heating & Electric

Gas central heating and electric are included in the accommodation price.

Infant facilities

Sorry, there are no infant facilities available.


Regrettably, pets are not accepted. 


Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. The owner cannot guarantee the availability or speed of the service as this is dependent on third-party suppliers.


There are two private parking spaces.

Access, Health and Safety

For safety precautions, the maximum occupancy is 6 guests.

The ground floor is on one level. There is one step to up to the main entrance which has wide access and wheelchair friendly (a ramp is available). 

Bryn Dyfi is situated in an elevated position above the village, therefore the road leading up to the property is very steep.

The outside patio and courtyard area has a low wall and a steep drop to the driveway below, please ensure that children are supervised at all times in and around the property, especially the patio area.

Please contact us immediately if there are any specific needs you may have, including disability needs. It is essential that we are given as much information as possible about your requirements to avoid booking an unsuitable property. Some locations do not lend themselves to easy access and facilities, so please ask first to avoid disappointment. The choice is ultimately the responsibility of the person booking the property, and we cannot be held responsible should a property be booked that is unsuitable or inappropriate.


Bryn Dyfi is in a quiet residential location away from the hustle and bustle of the village and close to hillside walking routes.


To provide you with as much detail of the properties as possible, we sometimes use wide-angle photography, which can make certain rooms or spaces appear larger than they actually are. If you have any queries regarding the size of any rooms, please do not hesitate to contact us.
