Clifton is a lovely newly refurbished holiday townhouse set in the heart of Aberdyfi and offers the comfort and luxury of 21st-century amenities whilst still retaining many of its original features.

Conveniently situated near the shops, pubs, restaurants and all amenities. Clifton is minutes away from the beach, jetty (for your crabbing) and beautiful mountain walks.

Further afield you can explore the Ynys-Hir RSPB Reserve which is a wildlife haven in the heart of Wales, made famous by the BBC Spring Watch programme, The Dyfi Osprey Project (please follow the link to watch live: http://www.dyfiospreyproject.com/live-streaming), The Ceredigion Heritage Coast along Cardigan Bay, the Cader Idris mountain range and not forgetting the lakes, small towns, and villages, picturesque resorts, and harbours.

The front entrance leads directly to the open plan kitchen/dining/living room area.

Living/Dining area - Large leather settee with matching leather armchair. LED TV with Freeview and built-in DVD. Woodburning stove - fireguard supplied. Large dining table with seating for up to 6 people.

Kitchen - Fully fitted with electric oven, halogen hob, washer/dryer, slimline dishwasher, built-in microwave, under counter fridge, and a slimline wine cooler for your favourite wine!

Under stairs cupboard with small freezer (two compartments), Dualit coffee machine, slow cooker & High chair.

Stairs to the first floor with limited handrails.

First Floor

Living area - Snug living area with leather settee, matching leather armchair, and window seating to watch the world go by! LED TV free view with built-in DVD and USB ports. Wii box with an assortment of games. I pod docking system.

Rear door (please take care as the rear door leads directly on to the road on Church Street)

Bedroom 1 - Front single bedroom, free standing wardrobe with bottom drawer, bedside cabinet, vanity unit with leather stool, hairdryer.

Cloakroom - Washbasin with toilet.

The picturesque harbour village of Aberdyfi / Aberdovey is renowned for its mild climate, sandy beaches, sailing and a championship 18-hole links golf course (rated in the UK's top 100). The village is often referred to as “an artist's paradise” with its pastel-coloured cottages, small shops, inns and excellent restaurants which specialise in local seafood, all helping to create a relaxed welcoming atmosphere.

Aberdyfi / Aberdovey boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain, with four miles of golden sand-dune backed shoreline running north to Tywyn, home of the world-famous Talyllyn narrow gauge Steam Railway, crab fishing and the famous Dyfi Donkeys. The beaches are popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen while the estuary attracts a wide range of water sports enthusiasts.

The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy ranges are within easy reach and are complemented by the charm of the Dyfi, Dysynni and Tal y Llyn valleys nearby. An ideal area for walkers, climbers and wildlife watchers, and a wonderful all-year-round location.

Booking and Payment 

Dyfi Cottages & Aberdyfi Holidays is a marketing agency and we do not own or manage any of the accommodation listed on our websites. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement between you and the property owner. 

For bookings made more than 8 weeks before arrival a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance is then due 8 weeks before the holiday commences.

For bookings made less than 8 weeks before arrival, the total amount is payable at the time of booking.

Security Deposit

Security deposits are not normally required. Please note that guests are still liable for any damage, breakages, or additional cleaning required as a result of their actions.

Arrival & Departure times

Arrival time is from 5 pm/ Departure time is no later than 09.30 am.

Please note: check-in and check-out times at the majority of our properties have been temporarily revised. The revised times for this property are reflected above.

Short Breaks

Short breaks are available out of season and can be booked for a minimum of 3 nights from the following days:

  • Friday to Monday for a 3-night weekend break
  • Monday to Friday for a 4-night midweek break

During November to February arrival days may be more flexible nearer the time although these exclude Sundays and any holidays. 

Bed Linen

Bed linen and towels are provided. 

Heating & Electric

Electric heating is included in the accommodation price. Logs are not supplied but can be purchased locally.

Infant facilities

Travel cot and high chair are available in the property (there is no bedding provided for the travel cot). Sorry, there is no stair gate.

Pets

Regrettably, pets are not accepted.

Wi-Fi

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. The owner cannot guarantee the availability or speed of the service as this is dependent on third party suppliers.

Parking

There is one free car pass provided in Clifton for the ‘pay & display’ car parks in Aberdyfi. The nearest one is 200 metres away next to the beach (spaces are subject to availability). Sorry, the owners are unable to provide additional car passes.

Location

The property is located in the centre of the village near the local pubs and there can be some associated noise during busier times.

Access, Health and Safety

The maximum occupancy is 4 guests (this does not include 1 infant in a travel cot).

Although the road outside the front of the property is not normally busy, please be mindful of cars appearing suddenly and be especially cautious when children are exiting the property.

Please be mindful that the rear door in the snug room on the first floor opens directly on to the road on Church Street.

Clifton has electric radiators - please be careful as the radiators can become very hot.

The log burner is for the use of logs only and NOT suitable for household coal.

Please contact us immediately if there are any specific needs you may have, including disability needs. It is essential that we are given as much information as possible about your requirements to avoid booking an unsuitable property. Some locations do not lend themselves to easy access and facilities, so please ask first to avoid disappointment.

The choice is ultimately the responsibility of the person booking the property, and we cannot be held responsible should a property be booked that is unsuitable or inappropriate.
