Ideal for a family seeking a delightful and central getaway in a charming part of Aberdyfi, this beautifully refurbished property makes a fantastic base for exploring both Cardigan Bay and Snowdonia.

This delightful townhouse has been lovingly updated to offer fresh accommodation in the heart of the pretty coastal resort of Aberdyfi (also known as Aberdovey). Situated along the northern banks of the River Dyfi, this picturesque harbour is home to a championship golf course and has miles of sand-dune-backed golden beaches. The Dyfi Estuary is a great favourite for a range of water sports and activities including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing, and Aberdyfi holds regular yachting regattas in the summer. There’s also a wide variety of independent shops, pubs and restaurants serving local seafood, and the village makes a wonderful base for eager walkers and nature lovers discovering the stunning southern expanses of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park.

Entering this light, fresh and airy property, the front door leads you directly into the welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. With a warming wood burner, comfortable seating and a TV/DVD, the lounge makes an ideal space for everyone to sit back and relax at the end of a great day out. There’s also a charming dining area, perfect for sharing a fantastic family meal. The kitchen has a useful range of equipment including an electric oven with a halogen hob, a washer/dryer, slimline dishwasher, microwave, under-counter fridge, Dualit coffee machine, slow cooker and a slimline wine cooler. There’s also a small freezer in the nearby under-stairs cupboard. Going upstairs, you can settle back and enjoy a quiet evening in the snug lounge. Featuring a TV/DVD, USB ports, iPod dock and a Wii console with an assortment of games, this is an ideal space for kids to get away from the adults. Please note, a door leads out from this lounge and directly onto the road. The first floor also features the first of the property’s three bright and soothing bedrooms: a cosy single, as well as a separate WC. Heading up to the second floor, you will find the stylish family shower room – complete with a shower and WC, along with the two remaining bedrooms: a single and a double, both with plenty of storage space.

Guests staying at this lovely property will be provided with a free pass for the pay and display car parks in Aberdyfi – the nearest is just 200 metres away, by the beach.

A really lovely house - comfortable, everything you need is here. I will echo an earlier review, the nearby pub is quite noisy - you do need to accept that during main weeks the place is busy. If you want to be assured of somewhere quieter you need to go further up the hill - for us, with 2 kids, this house was PERFECT for easy access to the beach Read morewhich was really important to us. Oh and watch out for the seagulls.....they like fish and chips. Hide

Our second stay at Clifton, and all was well. Spotlessly clean and well equipped, and such a perfect location in Aberdyfi. I'm really going to miss hearing the gulls every morning.

Would return & would recommend however mindful of noise from pub emptying bottles into bins / early morning beer keg delivery and bin collection. Great location for beach

Lovely cottage/house. Home from home. Comfortable and clean. Aberdovey is a beautiful seaside village with all you need. The beach is proper sand and great for building sandcastle. The pubs/restaurants get busy so booking the day before is advisable during high season. Fish and chips are fabulous from Walkers. Clifton is in a great position in the centre of town. Spotless everywhere and very comfy beds with decent linen and towels. If you want to eat out, suggest booking in advance as if you try on the day you may be disappointed. Aberdovey is gorgeous, even if it's raining, and if it does, it doesn't last long.

A lovely townhouse very nicely furnished and tastefully decorated. Be aware no garden/outside space, or allocated parking and the pubs are close so noise travels. A parking pass is provided for the local car park but it cam still prove tricky for loading and unloading. Otherwise a lovely place to stay and close to local amenities and beach.
