We really enjoyed the location of the cottage as first time visitors to Aberdovey, and the space was perfect for us as couple with our dog. We enjoyed watching the soap box race from the window, which was a nice surprise! All in all if the cleanliness was improved we would return, and its probably not the owners fault, as a local company are supposRead moreed to manage this. The cleaning guy did drop off hand soap after texting him. Would be a nice cottage with just a bit of maintenance and TLC. Unfortunately the quality of cleaning was extremely poor. There were dog hairs everywhere (even in the fridge!), the floor was filthy - even the carpets, and there were no basics such as hand soap, bar soap in the shower, kitchen roll, toilet roll, bin bags, etc. We managed to clean the cottage to a decent standard with our own wipes but it was not properly disinfected and this definitely impacted the first day of our stay. There was no vacuum cleaner and other cleaning supplies so sadly upstairs remained quite dirty, and there was dog hair and sand all up the stairs. Hide

Photos make it look bigger but adequate for 2. Stairs uneven and steep but easy to get used to, useful stair gate for dog. Good facilities, heating, washing machine etc. Great location close to restaurants, few shops and beach. Great butchers for breakfast bacon and sausages

near to the high street, the cottage is well placed with everything in walking distance. Cottage was smaller than i imagined but big enough as stayed on my own. no mention made about the train line about 100 yards from the cottage that was fine as long as you kept the windows and doors closed.

Our second stay at Anne Owens cottage & it didn't disappoint, it was just as great as the first time we stayed. Lovely clean & cosy little place with everything within walking distance, from the beach & harbour to shops & pubs .... I'm sure we'll be going for a third stay at some point !!

Lovely clean small cottage, fronts onto the street which was tricky for the dog. The cottage has been refurbished to a high spec with great lighting, furnishings, shower room and kitchen. Steep stairs and sloping floors upstairs may be difficult for some. We had a lovely time there.

Absolutely loved staying here, once got used to the steep stairs !! We didn't use the outside patio area as it wasn't very private, but the cottage itself was perfect, extremely comfortable & in an ideal location, with the shops, beach, harbour & pubs all in walking distance of just a couple of minutes. Would most definitely stay here again !!

Lovely cottage, excellent location in beautiful Aberdovey. The courtyard is not an enclosed space but a public pathway between the back of the cottages on CopperHill Street and another row of cottages immediately behind. Unfortunately we could not use it as a young seagull had taken up residence out there and its mother was very protective!
