Sitting along the charming seafront, this pretty apartment is ideal for a family or a couple exploring the flourishing harbour village of Aberdyfi (also known as Aberdovey). Set along the beautiful northern shore of the River Dyfi as it flows into Cardigan Bay, Aberdyfi has plenty of popular attractions including a championship golf course, a long sandy stretch of beach, and plenty of quaint pastel-coloured houses. Surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the southern reaches of the glorious Snowdonia National Park, Aberdyfi makes a wonderful base for walkers and nature lovers, and there are plenty of great restaurants, pubs and cafes just metres away from the apartment. The Dyfi Estuary is host to activities including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing.

Entering the property, a couple of steps lead up into the hallway and through to the stylish and spacious lounge/diner. This is a lovely space for everyone to settle back and relax at the end of great day out. The lounge features plenty of seating, TV/DVD and a large bay window offering superb views over the beach and out to sea. The dining area is ideal for gathering together to enjoy a favourite family meal. Heading upstairs, the top floor features a snug children’s TV room and two warm and welcoming bedrooms. The king-size bedroom is to the front of the apartment, with far-reaching sea views. The back bedroom has twin beds and plenty of storage space. There’s also a stylish bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. Please note all rooms on this floor have low sloping ceilings.

Stepping outside, there’s a small roof terrace with garden furniture, providing a charming spot for a morning coffee as you plan the day. Guests will be provided with a free car pass with can be used in Aberdyfi’s pay and display car parks, the nearest being opposite the apartment. Comfortable and lovely views. Shame the essentials were missing - no cleaning products, little toilet paper or kitchen roll, no salt or pepper - we had to buy our own. The little things would have made all the difference.

Map
Note: As the postcode is used to identify the general area of the property, it may not always reflect its precise location, therefore please only use this map as a guide.

Mid-West Wales is a land full of green hills and clear seas. With the spine of the Cambrian Mountains to the east and the hidden coves of the Ceredigion coastline carving out marvellous openings all along the western shoreline, it’s a mecca for those who crave outstanding natural surroundings. There are also charming villages and quaint seaside towns dotted here and there, giving you the chance to try a regional delicacy or speak to some friendly locals.

A thriving harbour resort just within the Snowdonia National Park boundaries, Aberdovey, meaning river mouth, also lies inside Wales’ only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the Dyfi Biosphere. With Cader Idris looming in the distance, Aberdovey enjoys a complementary fusion of dense woodland and a golden beach where the River Dyfi meets Cardigan Bay.

Also near the River Dyfi are Pennal and Cwrt, two villages which lie on the River Sychan, which feeds the River Dyfi. Small in size but with natural grandeur, these villages have walks which provide magnificent vistas and if you’re lucky, you may even spot wild otters holding hands by the river’s edge.

Moving away from the river, you can follow the ‘Happy Valley’ which leads all the way to Tywyn. You’ll pass scenic splendour as the road twists and turns past the ‘Bearded Lake’. Tywyn is a beautiful seaside base for all types of excursions. Stroll the large, sandy beach or visit the Talyllyn Railway, that journeys deep into the hills.

We have a handpicked collection of self-catering properties along southern Snowdonia on the banks of the Dyfi Estuary. Whether it’s Aberdovey, Pennal and Cwrt or Tywyn, we’ve got dog-friendly, large, luxury and coastal accommodation to suit your needs.
