  • Offering stylish accommodation for seven guests exploring southern Snowdonia
  • Within a mile of a championship golf course, sandy beach and thriving seaside village
Property code: DY013

Sitting just above a popular coastal village and offering stunning sea views, this bright, colourful and spacious holiday home makes a fabulously relaxing getaway for families and groups of friends.

Set in an elevated spot just half a mile north of the picturesque and friendly seaside village of Aberdyfi (also known as Aberdovey), this light and sumptuous property makes a great base for walkers and nature lovers exploring the southern part of the magical Snowdonia National Park. Activities in Aberdyfi and along the Dyfi Estuary include fishing, windsurfing, canoeing and sailing, and the village is home to a championship golf course. Known for its pastel-coloured houses and its fantastic choice of pubs, restaurants and shops, Aberdyfi is also home to the Old Roman Road which leads to Picnic Island, and boasts a wonderful golden sandy beach which stretches for miles up along Cardigan Bay to the pretty resort of Tywyn.

The entrance hall leads you through to the spacious, light and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which makes a wonderfully relaxing living space. The cosy lounge has plenty of seating, a TV and DVD, perfect for everyone to settle back at the end of the day, watch a movie or chat into the night. Three sets of French doors allow the light to flood in, and open out onto the garden. The dining area has plenty of space for everyone to get together and enjoy a fantastic family meal which you can rustle up in the elegantly designed kitchen, equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave. There’s also a ground-floor shower room with a shower and WC, as well as a quirky, fish-themed utility room where you will find the washing machine and tumble dryer. Going upstairs, there are four light, airy and comfortable bedrooms to choose from. The king-size bedroom has views over the estuary, as well as a TV and an en-suite bathroom complete with a shower over the bath and a WC. There’s also a front-facing single room and a double, each with stunning views, along with a charming twin room to the rear of the house. This floor also has a stylish family bathroom with a shower over the bath and a WC.

Stepping outside, the garden is not fully enclosed and offers stunning views over the village and out to sea. The pretty raised patio has plenty of garden furniture, providing a lovely spot for everyone to enjoy some al fresco dining and a glass or two of wine at the end of a fabulous day. Off-road parking is available for three cars.

Wonderful location; view of the estuary and the sea is stunning. Loved the town and the countryside around, although beware the very steep hills! House was big enough for 7 adults, and suited us very well.

We had a wonderful stay at LLehr Wen, the house is situated right at the top of the hill, where it was lovely & quiet, so by the end of the week we were extremely fit!! The house was light, spacious, clean and well equipped including games for the family. The view from the back of the house, including 3 of the bedrooms was stunning and we loved to Read moresit out on the terrace just taking it all in. The added advantage of the garage, where we could keep all of our wetsuits and bikes. Would recommend. Hide

Well-presented house in lovely location with incredible views over the sea and estuary. We had a problem with a door lock, and the caretaker attended to it very promptly and effectively. Would highly recommend this cottage for a party of 6-7. We were all adults (1 x 17yo) and it was comfortable and well-equipped for us all to enjoy a very relaxing Read more(and active!) holiday. A 10 min walk up and down a hill to town, although a handy carpark permit is provided for one car. Highly recommended. Hide

Ideal location in the heart of beautiful Aberdovey with stunning views. Car probably needed as is at the top of a very steep hill so coming back up is hard work. Well equipped, spacious living area and bedrooms. We enjoyed our stay, thank you.

The views are absolutely stunning. The price for them is the very steep incline to the property, which is fine in a car, however, you need to be very fit if you intend to walk from town! Overall highly recommended.
