Eithinfa - Aberdovey / Aberdyfi

With beautiful views, Eithinfa is ideally located to explore Aberdyfi's fabulous beach and sandhills.

Aberdyfi / Aberdovey Self-catering accommodation | Sleeps 13

Eithinfa, meaning Place of the Gorse in Welsh, was built by its owners on a hillside, overlooking the beautiful Welsh coast on the outskirts of Aberdyfi. The house is situated on a quiet, private road raised up above the village of Aberdyfi in the Snowdonia National Park and on the Cardigan Bay coast.

The property has been lovingly updated into a lavish holiday homestay - perfect for families or larger groups looking for complete luxury & panoramic coastal views, a luxurious but comfortable house in one of the most relaxing parts of Aberdyfi. The house is just a 5 minutes walk from the beach, train station and the golf club and a 10-minute walk from the village

Eithinfa is also in an ideal location for the local area’s attractions – bird watching (red kites can be seen nearby, and there is an RSPB nature reserve at nearby Ynis Hir); fabulous walking for the enthusiast or just a stroll, the Centre for Alternative Technology at Machynlleth; the award-winning Talyllyn narrow-gauge railway, castles at Criccieth, Caernarfon and Harlech, a four mile sandy beach and Aberdyfi championship links golf course in Aberdovey / Aberdyfi itself, river and sea fishing and much more besides.

Eithinfa faces South West and is bathed in sunshine all of the day during the winter months and most of the day during the summer months.  For those hot summer days, there is an outside shower to cool down with after a long day sunbathing on the front patio, or to wash the sand away from a day spent on the 4 miles of sandy beach opposite the property.

The house boasts a comfortable open plan living space which retains much of its traditional character with a coastal theme. The front aspect of Eithinfa has floor-to-ceiling bi-folding doors leading onto the large front patio with unbelievable views of the Cardigan Bay coast. From here you can see over the local beach and sand dunes, Aberdyfi’s famous golf links and clubhouse.  You may also glimpse one of the many fishing and sailing boats crossing the bar from the Dyfi Estuary into the beautiful Cardigan Bay.

The property has a high level of luxury consisting of, 4 bedrooms upstairs, 3 with new super king beds and wonderful sea views, and bedroom with bunk beds, there is a 5th bedroom downstairs consisting of a super king and a single, this bedroom opens on to a lovely patio and has a superb sea view. All the super king beds have Hypnos mattresses, so very comfortable! 2 bathrooms upstairs, 1 has a bathtub, both have walk-in showers. There is an ensuite bathroom downstairs with walk-in shower.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, 4 induction hobs, microwave oven and fan oven. The laundry room has a washing machine and 2 dryers. Steep steps lead up to the house, so it is not suitable for disabled people, but there is a handrail. There is parking for four cars at the bottom of the steps. The house is a 5-minute walk from the beach and railway station and a 10-minute walk from the village.

Aberdyfi is a charming seaside village with beautiful beaches, crabbing off the pier, watersports and cafés and restaurants. So, plenty to do for both young and old. The surrounding area is beautiful, offering walking, mountain biking, the Tallylyn Railway, and Cadair Idris to climb. Maps and walks are available in the house. There is a train service to Tywyn, Fairbourne and Barmouth and the Mawddach Trail is a wonderful walk or cycle ride.
