Self-catering accommodation | Sleeps 14

Located in the picturesque village of Aberdyfi within Snowdonia National Park, this recently renovated Victorian house is situated within its own grounds, and only a few minutes’ walk to the shops, pubs, restaurants and sandy beach. A comfortable and well-equipped property, with a south-west facing patio which captures the full rays of the sun for most of the day. The owners have taken great care and attention in the design and renovation of this beautiful property by retaining many of its original features.

Frondeg overlooks Aberdyfi, and the Dyfi Estuary and is in an ideal location for the local area’s attractions – bird watching (red kites can be seen nearby, and there is an RSPB nature reserve at nearby Ynis Hir); fabulous walks; the Centre for Alternative Technology at Machynlleth; the award-winning Talyllyn narrow-gauge railway, castles at Criccieth, Caernarfon and Harlech; a four-mile sandy beach and Aberdyfi championship links golf course in Aberdovey / Aberdyfi itself, river and sea fishing and much more besides.

Sleeps 14 guests in 3 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms, one bunk bedroom with an additional single bed, and one large single bedroom.

Gas central heating and full double glazing. Electric underfloor heating throughout most of the downstairs.

Entrance- Front door opens to a small porch with a secondary door leading to the hallway. There is an open plan living/dining area on the right which continues through to the kitchen. There is also a separate front lounge on the left.

Lounge – Large L-shaped settee, easy chair with footstool, Bean Bag and wood flooring. Smart LCD Freeview TV and an attractive log burner.

Open Plan Lounge, Dining Room and Kitchen:

  • Front lounge– a large settee, two-seater settee and log burner. LCD Freeview TV.
  • Dining area- large pine dining table with seating for 10 plus fold away table & 4 chairs. A comfy two-seater settee, piano and patio doors to the outside yard.
  • Kitchen area –fully fitted modern kitchen with a freestanding range cooker (6 burner gas hob and electric oven), built under microwave combi oven, dishwasher, under counter fridge with icebox. Hotspot instant boiling water tap. Large freestanding fridge/freezer (3 drawer freezer).

Separate Shower Room- enclosed walk-in shower, sink and toilet.

Utility Room – under-counter freezer (3 drawers), washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, mini Dyson vacuum. Hanging space for coats and shoe rack. Side door to outside.

Stairs from the utility room leads up to a separate annexe bedroom.

Annexe Bedroom – Large single bedroom, built-in double wardrobes with shelves and hanging space.

Main House ground floor to the first floor- from the main hallway stairs to the first floor with handrails.

Bedroom 1 – Front bedroom with King size bed, bedside cabinets, double wardrobe, small chest of drawers and small, easy chair, hairdryer.

Bedroom 2 – Rear bunk bedroom, (bunk beds are 3ft), 1 additional single bed (3ft), built-in cupboard with two shelves and hanging space

Family Bathroom – Bath with fixed overhead shower plus handheld shower, sink and WC.

Bedroom 3 – Rear double bedroom, bedside cabinets, built-in cupboard with 2 shelves and hanging space, small chest of drawers, hairdryer.

Bedroom 4 – Front en-suite bedroom with King size bed, bedside tables, freestanding wardrobe with hanging space, decorative fireplace, hairdryer.

En-Suite – Walk-in shower with fixed shower head and handheld shower, sink and WC.

Stairs to the second-floor landing (no handrails) 

Bedroom 5 - Small twin bedroom (beds are 3ft), chest of drawers.

Bedroom 6 - Small twin bedroom (beds are 3ft)bedside cabinet, hairdryer.

Front Patio- Enclosed front patio with slatted gates. Please note the low slate wall. A large tiered garden surrounds the property. Garden Furniture.

Due to the low front patio wall and surrounding hedges, small children and pets must not be left unattended outside.

Rear Yard/Garden -  Charcoal BBQ, 2 x children's garden swings. Please note the rear yard/garden is not enclosed as there is access down the rear alleyway. Children and pets must be supervised at all times.

Parking - Private parking for five cars.
