A newly modernised West Wales coastal property with stunning views over Cardigan Bay. Perfect for the beach, wildlife and great walking. Adjacent to the local Bowling Green, tennis courts, Aberdovey golf club and the Cambrian Coast railway station.
Hauldy is located on the edge of Aberdovey / Aberdyfi only minutes away from the beach, jetty (for your crabbing), water sports, and beautiful mountain walks (Cader Idris) and located next to the Welsh Coastal Path.
Further afield you can explore the Ynys-Hir RSPB Reserve which is a wildlife haven in the heart of Wales, made famous by the BBC Spring Watch programme, The Dyfi Osprey Project (please follow the link to watch live: http://www.dyfiospreyproject.com/live-streaming), The Ceredigion Heritage Coast along Cardigan Bay, the Cambrian Mountains and not forgetting the lakes, small towns and villages, picturesque resorts and harbours.
Sleeps 8 people in 3 double bedrooms (2 upstairs double bedrooms have an additional single bed).

Entrance Hall - Slate tiled floor (with underfloor heating) gabled hallway that leads to a large open plan living/ kitchen/dining room. Additional TV room, downstairs double bedroom and combined bath/shower room. Cloakroom/utility room with sink and wine fridge. Stairs to the upper floor with large landing and views over Cardigan Bay.
Open Plan Living/Dining/Kitchen - Two three seater settees, two easy chairs, Smart LCD T.V with Freeview and log burner. Large folding panelled windows leading onto a full front decked area with tables and chairs, views of the Dovey estuary, Cardigan Bay, Aberdovey Golf Course and the local beach and sandhills.
Dining Room/Kitchen - Fully fitted kitchen, with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave. Dining table with seating for 8, breakfast bar with 3 bar stools.
Cloakroom/utility - Washing machine, tumble dryer, sink unit and wine fridge.
Separate TV Room - Three seater settee, two extra-large bean bags, LCD TV with Smart DVD.
Double bedroom - With Superking size bed, patio doors leading out onto the front decking, built-in wardrobe and drawers, bedside cabinets with bedside lights.
Downstairs Bathroom - Bath, with separate walk-in shower, toilet and sink.
Outside Space - Large front decked area with outdoor furniture. Rear walkway for storage (unsecured).
Bedroom 1 - King size bed with an additional single 3ft bed. Built-in wardrobes, chest drawers of, 2 bedside tables with lamps.Views overlooking Cardigan Bay.
Bedroom 2 - King size bed with an additional single 3ft bed. Small built-in wardrobe, chest drawers of, 2 bedside tables and lamps. En-suite shower room. Views overlooking Cardigan Bay.

Aberdyfi / Aberdovey
The picturesque harbour village of Aberdyfi / Aberdovey is renowned for its mild climate, sandy beaches, sailing and a championship 18-hole links golf course (rated in the UK's top 100). The village is often referred to as “an artist's paradise” with its pastel-coloured cottages, small shops, inns and excellent restaurants which specialise in local seafood, all helping to create a relaxed welcoming atmosphere.
Aberdyfi / Aberdovey boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain, with four miles of golden sand-dune backed shoreline running north to Tywyn, home of the world-famous Talyllyn narrow gauge Steam Railway, crab fishing and the famous Dyfi Donkeys. The beaches are popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen while the estuary attracts a wide range of water sports enthusiasts.
The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy ranges are within easy reach and are complemented by the charm of the Dyfi, Dysynni and Tal y Llyn valleys nearby. An ideal area for walkers, climbers and wildlife watchers, and a wonderful all-year-round location.

Booking and Payment
Dyfi Cottages & Aberdyfi Holidays is a marketing agency and we do not own or manage any of the accommodation listed on our websites. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement between you and the property owner.
For bookings made more than 8 weeks before arrival a 30% deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance is then due 8 weeks before the holiday commences.
For bookings made less than 8 weeks before arrival, the total amount is payable at the time of booking.
Security deposits are not normally required. Please note that guests are still liable for any damage, breakages or additional cleaning required as a result of their actions.
Arrival & Departure times
Arrival time is from 5 pm / Departure time is no later than 09.30 am.
Please note: check-in and check-out times at the majority of our properties have been temporarily revised. The revised times for this property are reflected above.
Short breaks are available and can be booked for a minimum of 3 nights from the following days:
- Friday to Monday for a 3-night weekend break
- Monday to Friday for a 4-night midweek break
During November to February, arrival days may be more flexible for last-minute bookings, although these exclude Sundays and any holidays.
Bed linen is provided (guests to supply own towels & bath mats).
Heating & Electric
Heating and electric are included in the accommodation price (logs are not provided but can be purchased locally).
Travel cot & high chair available in the property (there is no bedding supplied for the travel cot).
Regrettably, pets are not accepted.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. The owner cannot guarantee the availability or speed of the service as this is dependent on third-party suppliers.
There is on-road parking for a maximum of three cars opposite Hauldy.
Hauldy is located on Rhoslan, just above the bowling green & tennis courts, and a short walk from the railway station.
Access, Health and Safety
The maximum occupancy is 8 guests (this does not include an infant in a travel cot).
Please note, due to the location of the property, BBQ's are NOT permitted.
The decked area at the front of the property is not enclosed therefore, please ensure children are supervised at all times in and around the property, especially the decked area.
The road outside Hauldy is not normally busy, please be mindful of cars appearing suddenly and be extra cautious when exiting the property from the bottom steps.
Access from the parking area up to the Hauldy is via approximately 40 steps with limited handrails.
Please contact us immediately if there are any specific needs you may have, including disability needs. It is essential that we are given as much information as possible about your requirements to avoid booking an unsuitable property. Some locations do not lend themselves to easy access and facilities, so please ask first to avoid disappointment.
The choice is ultimately the responsibility of the person booking the property, and we cannot be held responsible should a property be booked that is unsuitable or inappropriate.

We have stayed in many self-catering cottages in Aberdovey over the years. Hauldy has got to be one of the best. We weren't blessed with great weather, but the location and comfort of the house went some way to ensure we still had an enjoyable holiday.
