Character holiday property with a large garden and stunning views over Aberdovey and Cardigan Bay

Self-catering accommodation | Pet-friendly | Sleeps 8

Llwyn Onn (Ash Grove) is a dog-friendly self-catering holiday property set above Aberdovey / Aberdyfi in one of the finest locations in the village, overlooking the Dovey Estuary with its own large garden.

With its own large garden, Llwyn Onn is a character-building which encompasses the atmosphere of this special peaceful village. The property was built in 1904 and has remained with the same family for over 5 generations, living and spending their holidays in Aberdovey. The property still retains its character of a family home and has welcomed sailors, mountaineers as well as the casual visitor over the years, who have all enjoyed the homely comforts and commanding position of Llwyn Onn. This house will always have a special place in the hearts of the guests who visit it, with its outstanding views over the village, to the beach and out to Cardigan Bay.

The area has a lot to offer visitors, for walkers, there is a choice of routes from this property; to the East is the Old Roman Road and Picnic Island leading past the Outward Bound Centre and on to the hills beyond. To the West are walks along the beach to Tywyn 4 miles away, or up to Bwlchgwyn with its panoramic views over Cardigan Bay and Happy Valley. Further afield is the beautiful Cader Idris Mountain Range and Blue Lakes, which are just 30 minutes’ drive away.

For Golfers, there is Aberdovey / Aberdyfi Golf Club rated as one of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the UK. The club has hosted many championships, including the British Ladies' Home Internationals, and is also the regular home of the Welsh Seniors' Championship.  And for the sailors’, there is the Aberdovey Yacht Club which has an excellent clubhouse next to the beach.  Membership forms are available at the club and new members are always welcome.
