Description
Seaside Chalet - Tywyn
A beautifully presented holiday chalet that's only a short walk from Tywyn seafront
Self-catering accommodation | Pet-Friendly | Sleeps 4
Seaside Chalet is a well presented compact chalet located on a small chalet park close to the sea and Tywyn seafront which has views overlooking the Dysynni Valley and the Cader Idris mountain range beyond. From the front door, you step out ready to explore the Welsh Coastal Path and the wide-open spaces of the Dysynni Valley.
From Seaside Chalet you can wander down to Tywyn's beachfront, turn left and follow the coastal path through Tywyn and onto Aberdyfi which is four miles further down the coast along the golden beach and wide-open spaces of the Cambrian coast. Turn right and follow the shoreline to the Dysynni Broad which is a magnet for fishermen (local fishing license can be purchased in the town). Keen walkers are rewarded with its panoramic views and stunning scenery along the Dysynni valley, Bird Rock (Craig yr Aderyn) and Cader Idris beyond.
The tranquil town of Tywyn lies on the sweeping Cardigan Bay coast, 4 miles away from Aberdovey, situated at the end of the imposing Cader Idris mountain range where the landscape tumbles into the sea on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. The promenade and town are all on one level, ideal for that gentle evening stroll watching the sunset along the edge of the Bay. Shopping in Tywyn is a pleasure, with an open-air market on most Mondays and local shops offering a wide range of local produce and gifts. The proximity to the mountains and the sea means the town also offers a wide variety of activities, from mountaineering to surfing; the area offers leisurely rambles through the beautiful countryside.
Slightly further afield lie the towns of Dolgellau (20 miles) and Aberdovey / Aberdyfi (4 miles) with its golf course, while attractions such as Harlech Castle, Llanfair Slate Caverns and the Tal y Llyn Railway, together with the sandy beaches of the Cambrian coast make this an ideal location for a relaxing break.
Further afield you can explore the Ynys-Hir RSPB Reserve which is a wildlife haven in the heart of Wales, made famous by the BBC Spring Watch programme, The Dyfi Osprey Project (please follow the link to watch live: http://www.dyfiospreyproject.com/live-streaming), The Ceredigion Heritage Coast along Cardigan Bay, the Cader Idris mountain range and not forgetting the lakes, small towns, and villages, picturesque resorts, and harbours.

Comments from the Visitors' Book
Thank you very much for a lovely stay. Very comfortable and everything we could have needed. Went on Talyllyn railway – a great day out. Aberdyfi is lovely too. Nice walks on the beach in Tywyn and recommend ‘Skippy’s’ for proper fish & chips!
We liked the chalet very much. The beach was very handy – a nice walk towards Aberdovey. Plenty of very beautiful countryside and walks within easy reach. We have also seen lots of wildlife (Ospreys etc.) We would certainly come again – a good value chalet.
