Yelland is a superb modern self-catering holiday apartment in Aberdovey / Aberdyfi on the banks of the Dovey Estuary. The property retains most of its original features with stunning seaside views.
Located next to the foreshore of the Dovey Estuary the apartment has direct access to a stony beach which is a great location for a picnic during warm sunny days throughout the year, whilst watching wildlife on the river. Ten minutes’ walk away is the golden sands' of Aberdyfi beach and Cardigan Bay.

This south-facing apartment is spacious and comfortable with outstanding views from the sitting room across the estuary to the mountains beyond. Yelland is a ground floor apartment set on one level and has easy access from the road. The apartment is also a short walk to the pretty local park with superb views of the bay, a small Cambrian Coast Railway 'halt' and the Old Roman Road providing a wonderful walk along the estuary. The Penhelig Arms Hotel is situated nearby offering an excellent selection of beers, wines and an outstanding restaurant.
Further afield you can explore the Ynys-Hir RSPB Reserve which is a wildlife haven in the heart of Wales, made famous by the BBC Spring Watch programme, The Dyfi Osprey Project (please follow the link to watch live: http://www.dyfiospreyproject.com/live-streaming), The Ceredigion Heritage Coast along Cardigan Bay, the Caber Idris mountain range and not forgetting the lakes, small towns and villages, picturesque resorts and harbours.

Entrance - The front door leads directly into the open plan dining/kitchen and living room area with polished oak flooring. Double en-suite bedroom via double doors from the lounge area. (please remove stiletto heels before walking on the oak flooring)
Living Room - Two-seater leather settee and a leather armchair, small 24" LCD T.V free view, log burner (logs are not provided but can be purchased locally)
Kitchen/Dining Room - Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, built-in electric double oven with grill, built-in microwave, gas hob, washing machine and radio/cd. Glass top dining table with seating for 4 people, breakfast bar with two stools.
Small Rear Cloakroom - Gas combi boiler and hanging space, iron and ironing board, clothes airer. Separate toilet and sink.
Double Bedroom - Superking sized bed, built-in wardrobe and shelves, dressing table, clock radio and hairdryer.
En-suite - walk-in shower, basin and toilet, heated towel rail.

Aberdyfi / Aberdovey
The picturesque harbour village of Aberdyfi / Aberdovey is renowned for its mild climate, sandy beaches, sailing and a championship 18-hole links golf course (rated in the UK's top 100). The village is often referred to as “an artist's paradise” with its pastel-coloured cottages, small shops, inns and excellent restaurants which specialise in local seafood, all helping to create a relaxed welcoming atmosphere.
Aberdyfi / Aberdovey boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain, with four miles of golden sand-dune backed shoreline running north to Tywyn, home of the world-famous Talyllyn narrow gauge Steam Railway, crab fishing and the famous Dyfi Donkeys. The beaches are popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen while the estuary attracts a wide range of water sports enthusiasts.
The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy ranges are within easy reach and are complemented by the charm of the Dyfi, Dysynni and Tal y Llyn valleys nearby. An ideal area for walkers, climbers and wildlife watchers, and a wonderful all-year-round location.

Booking and Payment
Dyfi Cottages & Aberdyfi Holidays is a marketing agency and we do not own or manage any of the accommodation listed on our websites. Bookings made via us form a legal agreement between you and the property owner.
For bookings made more than 8 weeks before arrival, a 30% deposit of the total cost of the holiday is required at the time of booking. The balance is then due 8 weeks before the holiday commences.
For bookings made less than 8 weeks before arrival, the total amount is payable at the time of booking.
Security deposits are not normally required. Please note that guests are still liable for any damage, breakages or additional cleaning required as a result of their actions.
Arrival & Departure times
Arrival time is from 5 pm/ Departure time is no later than 09.30 am.
Please note: check-in and check-out times at the majority of our properties have been temporarily revised. The revised times for this property are reflected above.
Short breaks are available out of season for a minimum of 3 nights and can be booked from the following days:
- Friday to Monday for a 3-night weekend break
- Monday to Friday for a 4-night midweek break
During November to February arrival days may be more flexible nearer the time although these exclude Sundays and any holidays.

Bed linen and towels are provided.
Heating & Electric
Gas central heating and electric are included (logs are not provided but can be purchased locally).
Sorry, there are no infant facilities available.
Regrettably, pets are not accepted in the apartment.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available. The owner cannot guarantee the availability or speed of the service as this is dependent on third-party suppliers.
You may offload your car outside Yelland but please be mindful of the traffic. There is one free car pass provided in the apartment for the ‘pay & display’ car parks in Aberdyfi. The nearest one is 200 metres away from the apartment (spaces are subject to availability). Sorry, but the owner is unable to provide additional car passes.
The property is located on the main road and there can be some associated noise during busier times. There are walks from the apartment to the park and picnic island.
Access, Health and Safety
The front door is accessed directly from the road, with one small low-level step. There are limited pavements to the car park and village, care must be taken as the road can get quite busy.
Please contact us immediately if there are any specific needs you may have, including disability needs. It is essential that we are given as much information as possible about your requirements to avoid booking an unsuitable property. Some locations do not lend themselves to easy access and facilities, so please ask first to avoid disappointment.
The choice is ultimately the responsibility of the person booking the property, and we cannot be held responsible should a property be booked that is unsuitable or inappropriate.
